Objective: Communicating with other ENJEUX participants using chat.
Competences: Understanding the text (chat) communication mode.
Target Population: Trainers, teachers, pedagogical counsellors, and tutors.

In this lesson we will discuss the Chat tool and it's options. Chat allows text communication in real-time among participants in a meeting. All conversations, using this tool, are saved and are accessible to each of the involved participants in the My Archives section.

The chat tool is located in the lower part of the communication area. It is composed of three zones:

• The Management zone allows users to create private meeting rooms, delete the text in the chat box and choose the size of the font for messages.
• The Reading zone for messages displays the preceding messages sent by participants. It also displays the users connected to ENJEUX.
• The Writing zone allows you to inscribe a message.

In this lesson, you will discover how to write a chat message, how to change the font, how to delete message history and how to create a private chat room.
